After 38 years of service in the federal government as an IT and cyber security program manager, Mark has embarked on a second act that is comprised primarily of entrepreneurship, non-profit organizational support and community service. His service activities include serving his church as an elder where he teaches, preaches, oversees, and assists in various ministries. He also serves several nonprofit organizations as an executive board member and supporter. Two highlights of this second act are serving young men in the prison system preparing them for re-entry, and participating in a month-long mission trip to Kenya that won over 600 souls to Christ, where a church for this new congregation is near completion.

His entrepreneurial pursuits are multifaceted and include founding: a consulting practice that provides kingdom business consulting, coaching and training based on the Nehemiah Project International Ministries’ biblical entrepreneurship success platform; 3 Brown Boys Granola LLC, a healthy cereal producer named after the two generations of three Brown boys in the family - him and his two brothers (rest in peace Johnny), and his three grandsons; and with his siblings, a multi-generational family enterprise that is currently under development.
Mark speaks and provides workshops for various fellowships, congregations, and virtual gatherings. As an author, this his first book, entitled “One In Him: Answering the Real Lord’s Prayer”, encourages the body of believers to fully realize Jesus’ prayer in John 17:21. Follow-up books are in development as he follows God’s leading to be instrumental in furthering His kingdom.

As you look across the Christian landscape today, the body of believers seem to be more disjointed and divided than ever before, and it appears to be getting progressively worse. Yet, in John 17:20-26, where Jesus prays for all believers, His primary request is "that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be one in Us...". This book takes the reader on the journey to oneness, starting from God's original plan for mankind and follows the progression from that ideal to where we find ourselves today, identifying what has contributed to divisiveness in society and in the church, leading to the glorious realization that YES, Jesus' prayer will be answered in His people!!!
